In 2010 we will only serve fillet Mignon with an add on lobster or shrimp. It was our

Simple Pleasures Lodging is doing well with our vacation rental packages and we
have been able to reduce prices on part of our package plans and our philosophy of the more
you buy the cheaper it gets is working out well for our guests and for us so look for more of the

The Limousine is still a big hit for our guests and we have found ways to use it more in our
packages We also have more self guided tours with our Keep You Safe Plan to protect you
when you have car problems, get lost or need help in the mountains.
Our lake assistance services for boaters include gas, towing etc. and is a success. We will
continue to offer this service *FREE to our weekly guests who bring their boats with them and
remember we have FREE boat parking for our guests who stay with us for a week or more and
at a nominal fee for guests who stay less than a week.*Gas/oi and products not included.
The weather is beautiful. One of the favorite past times here is picking the pastel rocker of
your choice then pointing it toward the mountain or the lake, drinking coffee or sipping a
complimentary sherry while reading a good book on the wrap around deck. Another plus for
the deck is that from the deck you can see spectacular sunrises and sunsets without having to
go anywhere. We have also added more peek a boo spaces and TEA THYME, tm for afternoon
tea in a cute outdoor setting by day and a Tratoria by evening. Perfect for pictures.
Golf discounts have been increased to 50% on some of our packages and our golf widow
packages are being well accepted.
The wide bodied old town canoe has been kept busy as are the bicycles. Fishing on
the lake is good. The Lake Chatuge Love boat is busy and we still offer FREE cruises
with some packages of course.
The hot tub with its unique themed experience is used by everyone regardless of
time of the year as it is a private room open 24 hours a day and it too is in our Special
Touches Program .tm where pampering is just the beginning.
The pillow program is a big hit and we will continue to give you a brand new pillow to
sleep on and take home with you when you leave as a gift from us and a re assurance
for you that you are sleeping on a clean, new pillow without concern about who slept
on it last... Peace of Mind, comfort and contentment that is what our Special Touches
Program tm is all about. Special Touches is included in many packages and available in
others.
We have simplified our Mountain Memory Dollar Program tm Please check
our policies section for details. Its FREE and SAVES you money. If you qualified
under the first program you are automatically included in the new program.
Our Military discount for active full time military personnel affords our fighting men
and women with a 25% discount on lodging at Simple Pleasures or on Chef On Call 4U
services while staying with us... This makes us feel good and we intend to continue
this discount until our American troops come home.
We also offer a 10% discount to all other current military personnel and 5% to military
retirees with 20 or more years of service because we don't forget what freedom is
worth. Military discounts may not be combined with any other discount or promotion.
Our 9th year was our best year yet with exciting promotions, new services, great
discounts and more. to serve you with affordable services and products. Take
advantage of our celebration by saving money with us now by booking for 2010.
We have also added two new wedding venues to our wedding and reception list and
have added more lighting to our jewel box wedding site in the azalea room and can
now offer even more personal theme and color selections and the best part is we did
not have to raise the prices to do it. We now have 200 venues in Georgia alone. Look

Our Professional wedding planners will give you the wedding of your dreams at the

We are doing a lot of new things in the culinary department through our
Mountain Memory Partners Chef on Call 4U and our outside vendors who
are making more delicious things available for your enjoyment as well as
our popular Limousine Breakfasts and delicious dinners at the area's best
restaurants.
The Teddy Bear Cottage is getting freshly painted and decorated for the 2010
season and our new large deck facing the mountains complete with rocking
chairs and other changes for your enjoyment is a complete success allowing
you a top view of the garden and its butterfly and Humming bird population.
The Chatoogie Queen is leaving us and being replaced by our new boat the
adventurer which is being refitted so that you can swim, be pulled in a raft and
eat lunch on board while you play. A great kids boat ( Pictures Soon)
Our policy is the same. Families have Family cruises and adults have adult
cruises. Smokers will be pleased to know that smoking is now permitted in the
outdoor grill area which is located next to the Teddy Bear Cottage and located
near Simple Pleasures. Teddy Bear Cottage has a full sized Kitchen, dining
room, living room, two bedrooms, a fun room and a bath and a half. It is fully
equipped including a washer and dryer, ceiling fans and more.
Our Goal is to provide families with a clean, comfortable place to stay at an
affordable price for two adults and 2 children. Additional adult guests may stay
for $25.00 per night per person. Additional children for as little as $10.00 each
per night at the Teddy Bear Cottage.
Reflections
2009
At the end of each season we reflect on what we did right and what we could do
better. We rely heavily on our customer feed back to help us provide better facilities,
services and reasons to come back and see us again. 2009 was no different and we
thank the many customers who were kind enough to give us feed back and were
pleased that our score was not just good but very good.
We tried to determine what needed changed for 2010 and what should be retained and
happily the changes are minor and are adding more value for your Dollar.
We were told that the fact that we retain the comfortable things and embellish them as
well as offer new things is a big plus.
We do our best to make your home away from home just that. Your home.
We do offer new things as well as retain the proven things you like. This year we are
upgrading Steak and Bake on the Lake tm Adding peek a boo spots and a cozy spot for
afternoon tea at TEA THYME tm next to the garden which doubles as our evening
Tratoria for your enjoyment at a price you will appreciate as a returning guest with a
special package just for you.
We offer new things often, but retain the comfortable things that make your home
away from home, Simple Pleasures, familiar and comfortable year after year after year
and we hope to make 2010 our best year for you yet.

One of the suggestions we received from customers in 2007 was on cancellation. We instituted a new
policy for 2008 and are continuing it for 2010. We had no problems with cancellation last year or in the past
as we have always tried to work with someone who booked and then had to cancel. We will always do our
best to honor those requests that merit such consideration in the future but the decision to allow
cancellation is at our sole discretion. We have broadened the policy to allow guests who wish to cancel to
sell or give away their purchase to someone acceptable to us. The criterion is simple. Credit worthy, willing
to follow the policies and looking for what we have to offer.
Please read the policy on refunds in our Booking Policies section before you agree to sell or purchase as
it will be the policy that is used for buying and selling a lodging cancellation.
